We are currently seeking an experienced Java DeveloperProgrammer to be a key resource on a technical services team. Client needs support with the HEART and Legislative Tracking System to continue to develop and maintain critical business needs. Assignments would be minor enhancements and defect fixes as requested by the stakeholders. Team operates on an Agile methodology and works on the backlog on a 2-week sprint cycles. Work is determined in sprint planning in the prior sprint. HEART and LTS are built on a JavaWebSphereOracle stack. Changes would be to Java andor SQL. Responsibilities Attends work on a regular and predictable schedule in accordance with agency leave policy and performs other duties as assigned. Develops and maintains application functionality, including Web Interfaces, Service-level integration and deployment, complex Business Logic and use of SQL or No-SQL datastores for HHSC IT as documented in a User Story. Adherence to industry standard definition of done which includes unit testing, automated testing and user acceptance. Provide technical input, analysis and design of application functionality, including Web Interfaces, Service-level integration and deployment, complex Business Logic and use of SQL or No-SQL datastores for HHSC IT as documented in a User Story. Participates in Agile ceremonies as well as other required internal Agency meetings. Minimum Requirements Bachelorrsquos degree in business. Communications, computer science or related field. bull 5 years of experience in JavaJ2EE Enterprise Development ndash (Core Java, JDBC, Spring Boot, and Angular for example). bull 5 years of experience with SQL. bull 5 years of experience with Web Interface development ndash (Angular for example). bull 5 years of experience with Agile methodologies ndash (SCRUM for example). bull 2 years of experience designing Enterprise Applications andor Services. bull 2 years of experience with Analysis, Design and Testing including creation of technical and functional design documentation. bull Experience with multi-tier systemapplication development ndash (IBM WebSphere Application Server and Oracle for example). bull Experience in building, supporting, maintaining, and monitoring mission critical business, applicationssystems, running in a highly distributed manner. Preferred Requirements Experience in database design such as Queries, Cursors and Triggers. bull Experience with application servers ndash (WebSphere or WebLogic). bull Experience with Containers ndash (Docker for example). bull Experience with Cybersecurity policies and procedures ndash (Static scan tools such as BlackDuckSonarQube, as well as Dynamic scans). bull Experience with No-SQL datastores ndash (MongoDB for example). bull Experience with Open-Source Search Engines ndash (ElasticSearch for example).
