AMA is looking for a SharePoint/Office 365 Intern that is passionate about staying on the cutting edge of technology and providing excellent customer experience in a modern workplace. This individual will work with the Application Development team to create innovative business forms solutions for our users using SharePoint and integrating with the Office 365 suite. Following the guidance of the Software Development Manager perform one or more of the following: + Learning new technology, including Microsoft's modern office 365, with a continuous drive to learn more. + Work closely with the development team and business forms users. + Participate in team code reviews as well as sharing and learning best practices. + Interacting with internal users and creating technology solutions to help our business succeed. + Studying new technologies with an eagerness to learn innovative and unfamiliar products quickly. + Completing assigned tasks on time and staying organized with multiple deliverables. + Working with the development manager and staying aware of overall business needs. + Perform all other duties as assigned. Required Skills: + Strong problem-solving abilities: aptitude in identifying opportunities and proposing creative new approaches. + Understanding of all phases of the software development lifecycle. + Some web development or scripting experience such as HTML, Azure, CSS, PowerShell + Familiar with SharePoint, PowerApps, Office 365, OneDrive for Business, Teams + Experience with service-oriented architectures, XML, REST, API + Understanding of business process automation (forms/workflow) design and deployment Hours: Up to 28 hours per week, approximately 3 months Qualifications To be considered for this MS SharePoint/Office 365 development role in support of the AMA SharePoint environment, candidate must: + Applicant must be authorized to work in the U.S. (International students, have to be able to provide proof of work authorization + Applicant has to be able to commute to Midtown Manhattan, New York City on a daily basis + Maintain an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher + Actively pursuing a degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field + Relevant Computer Science coursework, development bootcamp, or experience on any platform as well as a passion for coding + Major in information systems, computer science, or similar field + Be a full-time student at an accredited university + Applicants are responsible for transportation to and from the internship experience + Successfully completed at least one year of college with an IT-oriented course load + Currently enrolled in college + Some experience with an object-oriented programming language a plus but not required. + Familiar with modern office development technologies and practices + Demonstrated ability with MS Office applications including Word, Excel, Access + Verbal and written communication, problem solving, and team-work skills + Commitment to delivering excellent quality product on time An EOE/AA Employer, M/F/Individuals with Disabilities/Veterans- an ADA compliance organization ID: 2019-1754 External Company Name: American Management Association Intl Street: 1601 Broadway Telecommute: No
