SUMMARY The ANSYS Electronics Development Services team is focused on advancing our continuous deployment evolution to significantly improve development productivity and quality. We are seeking a software tools engineer with a passion for building frameworks to automate common sequence, procedure, and usage patterns. This role is responsible for performing the design, development and maintenance of various automation tools in a highly collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment with an emphasis on investigating, creating, and maintaining a modular Windows and Linux Installation infrastructure. RESPONSIBILITIES Perform tools development activities including design, implementation, maintenance, testing, and documentation. Manage multiple software deliveries, including investigating issues and evaluating impact of project and tool changes. Maintain continuous integration pipeline to improve development productivity and product quality through automation. Employ best software practices. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Master's degree in computer science, engineering, or related technical field, or a Bachelor's degree with three years of related experience. Previous software development experience using Python, Perl or other scripting language. Good knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience with a continuous integration system like Jenkins, TeamCity, or TFS. Experience with Windows and Linux installation tools like InstallShield or another third-party tool is a plus. Familiarity with the entire development process, including specification, documentation, quality assurance, and use of software engineering tools. Strong technical knowledge in software development methodologies with experience in project planning and implementation. Ability to complete high quality work on schedule.
