Job description **Description** **About this role** **Aladdin Wealth Product Manager (NY)** **Business Unit Overview:** BlackRock Solutions (BRS) is uniquely positioned to address the industry's risk management, portfolio construction and financial technology demands. The various business departments within BRS are focused on providing clients with highly scalable portfolio analytics & risk management, liability-driven investing & pension solutions, and regulatory advice & balance sheet strategy. BRS offers clients customized solutions powered by Aladdin, BlackRock's proprietary risk management system. The Aladdin Wealth team within BRS leverages the same risk analytics used by Institutional investors to equip wealth management clients with business & risk management, and portfolio construction & analytics capabilities. Aladdin Wealth is partnering with wealth managers to enhance their value proposition to their end clients, create rigor and scale in their investment process, and grow their businesses in a differentiated way. **Position Description** : The Aladdin Wealth offering consists of a suite of new web applications built on cutting-edge, modern frameworks. Sitting at the intersection of finance and technology, the successful candidate will work closely with Developers and Designers to scope, plan, innovate, conceptualize, design, test, communicate and roll out new capabilities to meet client needs. The candidate will be an integral part of the team with a leading voice in the strategy of the product and complete ownership over the various components of the offering. The candidate will be closely connected to Client Service and Business Development teams to gather user feedback, assess client needs, and prioritize development to drive product direction. The role will evolve as the business develops and will be an exciting opportunity for someone well versed in technology who is looking to manage the evolution of back-end systems, learn about the Wealth Management industry and build experience in Product Management. **Key Responsibilities:** + Lead as a Product Manager for Aladdin Wealth capabilities + Focus on product management of back-end systems and data schemas supporting web-based apps built on modern web stack technology + Function as the internal owner for product functionality by driving alignment between the offering and client needs + Develop a strong relationship withProduct Developers, partnering with them through development process and holding them accountable for committed deliverables + Develop a strong relationship with Client Service and Business Development teams to define and execute deployment strategy and ensure the product supports an excellent client experience + Incorporate feedback to improve the product + Create detailed product documentation and ensure documentation stays current as product evolves + Serve as a 'super user' of the applications with full knowledge of capabilities **Skills and Qualifications:** The ideal candidate will possess some combination of all the following: + Technical: 3+ years of broad technical and/or financial services experience + Background in wealth management and technology is a plus + Enjoys a fast-paced, high-intensity environment; able to manage multiple priorities + Enthusiasm for creating and delivering client solutions/product through well-engineered back-end systems and processes + Ability to operate as a self-starter, operating with limited guidance in a highly matrixed organization + Strong project management and coordination skills + Strong problem solving/analytical thinking + Superior communication and organizational skills + Strong computer skills and an aptitude for learning new systems + Education: four-year degree **About BlackRock** BlackRock's purpose is to help more and more people experience financial well-being.
