Infrastructure MEP Construction Program Manager (Hyperscale Data Center) **Sunnyvale, California, United States** at **New** 3 additional locations New York, New York, United States Mountain View, California, United States San Francisco, California, United States Project/Program Management at 19039346Requisition # 3 hours agoPost Date **Candidate will work in Sunnyvale, CA.** **JOB SUMMARY** The " **Data Center Program Manager"** managesglobal program upgrade/retrofit projects impacting the critical infrastructureand MEPS Infrastructure for the client's data center portfolio. The DC PM leads complex, multi-disciplinaryprojects and is responsible for identifying the program requirements, engagingwith internal customers and supporting the program through the entire projectlifecycle. **Program Administration** Managethe upgrades/retrofit construction project program process administrationacross the data center portfolio. Focus is on ability to lead multiple projectsat one time over multiple global locations Developprogram budget, cash flow and commitment and get approval on spend working withthe client's Cost Control team Leadcross-functional teams and manage multiple simultaneous programs with competingpriorities simultaneously Engagewith technical experts and key stakeholders to initiate new programs, includingdeveloping program documentation Developand maintain key stakeholder and technical expert relationships Identifyprocess and communications gaps, while developing and driving solutions to implementdata center programs Manageand grow relationships between cross-functional teams. Work with the technical experts and keystakeholders to continually improve communications between the cross-functionteams Draftprogram reporting for client management reviews, including providing health ofprogram schedule, budget, and performance, identifying key risks and programopportunities Updatequarterly forecast, budget spend status and get management approval on fundingrequests Driveimprovement in the upgrade/retrofit program processes and documentation/workflow through stakeholder feedback and/or based on measurement of importantmetrics Developplans for improved field execution and delivery across project constraints of schedule,productivity, and costs Provideproject execution guidance throughout end-to-end project lifecycle with abilityto assess potential construction workarounds to avoid project slips **Planning** + Leadteam, including key stakeholders / project controls team / Contractor(s) /A&E design team to create and establish the 1) Master ProjectSchedule, based on the Critical Path and key milestones and 2) MasterProject Budget, including soft costs and hard costs + Evaluate technical issues anddevelop potential solutions for review with key stakeholders + SupportsDesign Team activities by participating in schematic and designdevelopment reviews + Supportdata center site teams as needed with contractor pre-qualification, bidsolicitation, bid analysis and recommendations + Participatesin constructability reviews of the project documents + Provideinput to site teams on Value Engineering efforts + Lead project teams in developing,assessing, and evaluating program and project risks **Construction** + Manageprogram costs and change controls + Manage program dashboards andmonthly program updates. The PM is responsible for securing updates fromsite teams and coordinating + Develop and maintain lessonslearned log for programs + CoordinateValue Engineering + Ensureprogram level document control processes are in place + EnsureQA/QC is being followed and report any issues/gaps + Coordinationand management of all Owner-direct vendors working with supply chain andconsultants + Establishclose out documentation requirements and distribute to site teams + Other duties as assigned. **SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES** Providesformal supervision to individual employees within single functional oroperational area. Approves subordinate's recommendations for staffrecruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action andtermination. Effectively recommends same for direct reports to nextlevel management for review and approval. Plans and monitorsappropriate staffing levels and utilization of labor, includingovertime. Prepares and delivers performance appraisal for staff. Mentors andcoaches team members to further develop competencies. Leads by exampleand models behaviors that are consistent with the company's values. Manages3rd party project delivery resources/team (typically larger moreexperienced team). Responsible for identifying training needs, trackingperformance, coaching, and motivating team members. **QUALIFICATIONS** Toperform this job successfully, an individual must be able to performeach essential duty satisfactorily. Minimum (6) six years of related experience and/or training. Priorexperience in a supervisory position (direct report responsibilities)required if specific duties include direct report responsibilities. TechnicalProject Management or Coordination Experiencewith construction related to data center construction or heavy industrial workinvolving complex mechanical and electrical systems Standardbusiness applications and tools GoogleDocs, Sheets, Slides, Drive, Drawings, Hangouts, etc. MicrosoftWord, Excel, PowerPoint Schedulingapplication: Primavera P6 is an advantage **CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES** PMP (US and/or Canada) and LEED AP preferred. **COMMUNICATION SKILLS** Abilityto comprehend, analyze, and interpret the most complex businessdocuments. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive issues.Ability to write reports, manuals, speeches and articles usingdistinctive style. Ability to make effective and persuasivepresentations on complex topics to employees, clients, top managementand/or public groups. Ability to motivate and negotiate effectively withkey employees, top management, and client groups to take desiredaction. **FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE** Requiresin-depth knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability tocalculate complex figures. Ability to forecast and prepare budgets.Conducts financial/business analysis including the preparation ofreports. **REASONING ABILITY** Ability to solveadvanced problems and deal with a variety of options in complexsituations. Requires expert level analytical and quantitative skillswith proven experience in developing strategic solutions for a growingmatrix-based multi-industry sales environment. Draws upon the analysisof others and makes recommendations that have a direct impact on thecompany. **OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES** Intermediateskills with Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to read and understandarchitectural drawings. Knowledge in MS Project, leases, contracts, andconstruction practices. **SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY** Decisionsmade with in-depth understanding and interpretation of procedures,company policies and business practices to achieve general results.Responsible for setting department deadlines.
