+ Job Type: Officer of Administration + Bargaining Unit: + Regular/Temporary: Regular + End Date if Temporary: N/A + Hours Per Week: 35 + Salary Range: Commensurate with experience Position Summary The Division of General Medicine seeks a Program Manager to support the management of a NIH funded multi-site clinical trial that includes 11 clinical sites, a coordinating center, an imaging coordinating center, a central research pharmacy, and a central laboratory and biospecimen repository. Responsibilities + Process IRB submissions including modifications and submissions in coordination with a central single IRB. + Process FDA investigator new drug (IND) applications and approved protocols. + Provide supervision of up to three clinical research coordinators and oversee petty cash accounts. + Responsible for procurement of supplies related to the multisite study as well as for the local clinical site, in coordination with administrative personnel in the Division of General Medicine. + Maintain and update the manual of operations for the clinical trial. + Oversee and coordinate the logistics of research procedures conducted at core facilities including the department of radiology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center, the Irving Institute for Clinical Translational Research, and the Center for Advanced Laboratory Medicine in the department of pathology. + Oversee and coordinate the logistics of processes related to collaborators and facilities outside of Columbia University Irving Medical Center, including the data coordinating center at John Hopkins University, the Biospecimen repository located at Novare Biologistics, and other vendors that process laboratory assays. + Manage the biospecimen repository for all the sites. + Schedule team meetings in coordination with the clinical centers and other centers described above. + Perform additional related duties as assigned/needed. Minimum Qualifications + Bachelor's degree or equivalent and three years related experience + Strong interpersonal and organizational skills + Ability to exercise initiative and judgment + Team player with ability to thrive in busy office environment + Excellent writing and editing skills + Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines + Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks while maintaining responsibility for timely execution + Working knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Access Preferred Qualifications + Experience in neuropsychological testing, logistics of brain imaging procedures, and previous experience with coordination of multisite study + Fluency in Spanish Other Requirements + Participation in the medical surveillance program + Contact with patients and/or human research subjects + Successful completion of applicable systems training requirements Equal Opportunity Employer / Disability / Veteran Columbia University is committed to the hiring of qualified local residents.
