Role: Business Operations Coordinator (Future Leaders Program)Location: NYC

Company Description

Context Travel is a highly respected travel brand providing private, intimate tours to travelers who love to learn. Guided by specialists and scholars, Context tours are in-depth explorations of the real lives, history, and culture that make a city amazing. Context is a B Corp and pioneer in conscious travel.

Our tours range from half-day to 7-day+. We have amazing natural adoption and customer evangelism - our NPS is +90. We also have significant scale, running over 20,000 tours last year across 50 cities and 6 continents.

In early 2018, Context transitioned from founder-owned & operated to a top-tier travel tech startup team out of NYC, backed by a growth equity fund. We?re now scaling out sales, marketing and product development, with the goal of completely changing the way cultural travel works (as experiences move from an afterthought to the center of a trip).

We have a unique proposition to meet the needs of the independent cultural traveler, offering more expertise and trust than experience providers, yet not over-bundling like a traditional tour operator experience.

Job Description

The Future Leaders Program is a 3-6 month program directly supporting Context Travel?s CEO & executive team. We are looking for individuals with non-traditional backgrounds interested in transitioning into the travel industry. Most of the Context team are travel outsiders: ironically for such a large, diverse & fulfilling industry, it can often be difficult to find the right route in.

At the end of the 3-6 month period, program participants may end up placed into a full time position within the company, or alternatively will have received a true insider crash course within a top tier startup to take to an outside role. We can promise program participants an incredibly amount of learning in a short period of time.

The nature of the role will be supporting the business operation at Context - the drumbeat of the organization. There are numerous strategic projects to manage, research and data support needed, & lots of new initiatives coming up all the time.

Spanning elements of business analysis, research, project management, talent, reporting & communication, the Business Operations role is broad and multi-disciplinary. The right candidate will have exceptional organizational skills and have a ?roll up your sleeves? approach to getting things done. As a visible member of the team, ability to work seamlessly and collaboratively across the company is also a must.

Compensation starts at $3,000 per month and will vary from there depending on experience.
