Eatons Power SystemsEngineers deliver professional engineering,design, and analysis services. As one of our engineers, youll help ourclients electrical systems operate more reliably, efficiently and safely. Aspart of the Eaton team youll help share our experience and technical know-howin the areas of power systems studies, power quality analysis, electricaldesign and training.
Your engineeringassignments will involve power systems analysis, power quality measurements andaudits, consulting and design services, troubleshooting and problem solvingrelative to power distribution equipment. In addition to our core engineeringresponsibilities, our engineers are intimately involved with customers from theonset of every project through the final on-site presentation and training. Ourengineers operate in an entrepreneurial environment with the mission ofproviding high quality support and solutions with a key emphasis placed onmotivated lead times and sustained relationships with the Eaton sales team andend-users.
This role is designedto prepare you for both technical and future leadership roles at Eaton. As anew engineer, you will be provided with a structured training and developmentcurriculum; a blend of instructor-led, virtual classrooms, eLearning coursesand on-the-job training provided by expert mentors and team members to assistyou in developing your career.
Basic Qualifications(Including Educational Requirements):
Currently possesses orwill have obtained a bachelors degree in engineering with a major in Electrical,Electrical and Computer, Electrical Engineering Technology, or Energy SystemsEngineering from an accredited institution, with a graduation date no laterthan August 2020
Minimum overallcumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher (please do not round)
Must be legallyauthorized to work in the United States without Company sponsorship, now or inthe future
Geographicalflexibility to relocate within the United States
Overall cumulative GPAof 3.0 or higher
Prior relevantinternship or co-op experience within the electrical/power industry
Undergraduatespecialization in power systems analysis (including three phase circuits) andelectric machines
Experience withengineering software (AutoCAD, MATLAB, SKM, EasyPower,and/or ETAP)
Excellent computer& analytical skills
Excellent written, oralcommunication and presentation skills
Demonstrated leadershipexperience within campus and/or the community
Up to 25% travelrequired
Physical Demands: Whileperforming the duties of this job the employee is occasionally required tostand, walk, stoop, squat, reach to or below shoulder level, lift, carry, push,pull, and use hands to handle and feel. The employee is occasionally requiredto climb and reach above shoulder level. The employee is occasionally requiredto lift/carry up to 50 pounds. The employee is occasionally required topush/pull up to 50 pounds.
