The Applications Engineering Leadership Development Program is a two-year (optional 3rd year)program designed to develop future application engineers within our ElectricalSector.
Participantswill gain exposure to the Applications Engineering function as well as theSales Engineering function at each of their assignment locations (Eatonmanufacturing locations). Assignments will give the participants exposure tomanufacturing and test functions, Eaton Field Sales and Field ApplicationsEngineers, as well as end customers. An optional 3rd year assignment will giveparticipants the opportunity to work in a field application engineering role inan Eaton Sales Office.
Participantswill get exposure to a variety of Eaton products including: 3-phase UPSSystems, Low Voltage & Medium Voltage motor control, Panelboards,Switchboards, Busway, Network Protectors, Medium Voltage circuit breaker andfused switchgear, automatic transfer switches, safety and bolted pressureswitches, protective relays, and Low Voltage switchgear. Program is designed to give 1-year in PowerDistribution products and 1-year in Control products.
Basic Qualifications(Including Educational Requirements):
Currently possesses or will haveobtained a Bachelors or Master's degree in electrical engineering from anaccredited institution, with a graduation date no later than August 2020
Minimum overall cumulative GPAof2.8 or higher (please do not round)
Minimum of one internship or co-opexperience completed at the time of this application
Mustbe legally authorized to work in the United States without Company sponsorship
Geographical flexibility to relocatewithin the United States for the duration of the Development Program
Minimum overall cumulative GPA of3.0 or higher
Atleast 6 credit hours in Power Systems
2 or more relevant internship orco-op experiences with prior experience in Utility and/or Power Distribution
Demonstrated leadership experiencewithin campus and/or community
Transportationto and from the worksite and for incidental business travel is theresponsibility of the participant; however, expenses for required and approvedbusiness travel (not including the worksite) will be reimbursed.
Thisrole may include travel (up to 25%) within a local region as determined by theApplications Engineering program manager.
Therotational program provides the opportunity for formal presentations whereparticipants showcase their success stories to leaders of the organization and receivefeedback on their performance.
