Hatch is seeking a motivated, capable and organized Senior Project Manager with significant experience in the Rail and Transit sector. The Ideal candidate, is well known in the heavy Rail and/or Urban Transit industry. In this role, you will be based in our New York City office. Responsibilities: + Program Management Support Services to assist in the strategy and oversight for the complete delivery of a Positive Train Control (PTC) system in the Northeastern United States; + Work as a key member and leader within an integrated project delivery team, including agency staff; + Provide guidance and direction to the agency Leadership Team regarding contractual and FRA regulatory matters to ensure timely completion of project activities in line with the approved Alternative Schedule; + Provide support services to assist in the management and oversight of the testing program to satisfy contractual and Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) requirements; + Testing as the both the host and as a tenant as applicable; + Coordinate time for integration and testing including the availability of staff from all stakeholders; + Provide guidance and technical support in review of all test results, commissioning plans, FRA documentation to ensure all paperwork is in order and correct; + Track key metrics and provide analysis to mitigate negative trends; + Provide technical assistance, attend, and coordinate as necessary, meetings related to this scope of services; + Provide support services to assist in the development of implementation, alternatives, risk, and mitigation strategies; + Provide other services as requested by agency to support the development and implementation of the Alternative Schedule. Qualifications: + Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university; + 10 to 15 years of design and project management experience for heavy rail and/or large complex transit projects; + Registered or eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer in California; + Solid understanding of traditional and alternative project deliver methods; + Technically familiar with railway engineering design requirements and projects; + Experience and interest in business development initiatives, and in the development and maintenance of client relations; + Strong organizational, interpersonal, problem solving, and analytical skills; + Must have sound knowledge of current engineering and construction principles, methods and practices; + Familiar with various civil engineering software design tools; + Strong written and verbal communication skills; + Demonstrated ability to promote and work within a team environment; + Consulting engineering experience would be an asset; + Good knowledge of planning and other aspects of project controls; + Track record of delivering projects on time and to budget.
