**What We're Looking For** The time is right to join HNTB! We are currently seeking an Office Production Manager (BIM & CAD) in our New York, NY or Newark, NJ office locations. Job Summary: Office Production Manager with responsibility/oversight for all BIM & CAD activities for $500+ million value of active project portfolio in HNTB's largest design office. In addition to performing BIM management and CAD work on active project(s), has primary emphasis on people management. Coordinates the work activities of a group of technicians of various levels to ensure that schedules and quality of work are maintained. Works with professional staff in scheduling work and assigning support staff to their projects. Responsible for the training and development of staff. Also responsible for resolving technical design problems that may include performing field investigation or inspections, detailed design work and detailed checking of design computations done by others. Essential Responsibilities: Manage production and staff, including direct reports for CAD/BIM Production. Set standards for CAD & BIM for use in all NY Office projects - standardizing approach across technical departments. Lead the production, CAD and BIM process for assigned project(s). Accountable for scheduled completion of work leading multi-person and multi-office teams. Work with project team to assess project requirements, unique challenges, and team capabilities to determine appropriate BIM and technology to be utilized. Have a strong understanding of 3D authoring software, and how to model civil, architectural or other construction components. Create project specific CAD & BIM Execution plans and lead the CAD & BIM implementation as defined by the plan. Manage project file sharing process. Develop project specific coordination schedules with the assistance of the project manager. Assist with project pursuits as it relates to technology and its potential role for that project/client. Demonstrate solid writing skills for crafting CAD/BIM/technology-related articles and custom proposal narrative. Support staff in use of Bentley products (such as MicroStation, AECOsim, Open design suite and ProjectWise) and AutoDesk products (such as Revit, Navisworks (Manage), AutoCAD) and supporting applications. Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities + Proven technical expertise in Bentley AECOsim, ProjectWise, Revit, Microstation, and AutoCAD + Understanding of CAD/BIM customization. + Proven results orientation with desire and ability to coach and mentor staff + Proven ability to communicate and effectively escalate issues requiring senior management attention Preferred Qualifications and Skills: + Bachelor's degree in Drafting technology or related discipline + 10 years related experience + Experience with Navisworks and Autodesk Certification a plus. + Knowledge of Bentley Open design suite **What You'll Need** Essential Responsibilities: + Develops non-routine and complex plans, specifications, and reports. + Develops and implements operations procedures, methods and work systems to ensure effective and efficient internal operations. + Incorporates and compiles multiple sub-plans/designs into consolidated master plan. + Coordinates assignments with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects. + Has substantial interaction/coordination with clients and sub-contractors. + Responsible for the promotion, discipline, performance review, work allocation, training/continued education and mentoring of staff. + Performs other duties as assigned.
