**Description** Thecandidate will be part of the U.S. Commercial Banking People Excellence Team ofthe U.S. CMB Line of Business. The People Excellence Team exists to develop ahigh performing culture in US CMB at the behest of the Head of the Business.People Excellence initiatives are key enablers of the growth strategy of thebusiness. Underthe direction of the Head of People Excellence this role is primarilyresponsible for the development and delivery of Marketingcampaigns for flagship initiatives Developmentand maintenance of the People Excellence Intranet APeople Excellence Marketing Plan ThePeople Excellence team is the main focus for the role-holder who deliversmarketing and communication elements in 5 key areas: + Cultureand Engagement + Recognition + Talent Management + Learning + Diversity and Inclusion Role Holder Responsibilities: + Helpingto establish a number of activities and initiatives that support the people plan and the on-going development of Marketing to US employees + Working closely with People Excellence team members, HR, Learning & Development and various other internal stakeholders and external agencies to implement and deliver Marketing activities that have an impact on our people + Track progress against the people plan with clearly defined timeframes, key dates and deliverables + Proactively respond to any risks to live projects and resolving issues with stakeholders quickly to prevent delays to project deliverables **Impact on the Business** + Leads the organization of marketing programs and events for the People Excellence Team initiatives - ensuring that events remain within the budget allocated and executed seamlessly. + Maintaining and managing allocated events budget for CMB People Program. + Assisting in the planning of the annual recognition event (Sutherland Club) for CMB employees who consistently demonstrate their ability to go above and beyond in upholding HSBC values and behaviors. + Effectively identify, create, plan and execute campaigns through various marketing channels (HSBC Intranet, Email, Select Social Media, On-site Print Collateral, etc.). + Work with the Internal Communications team to prepare internal communications highlighting key People Program initiatives and events. + Work with the CMB B2B Marketing team where necessary on events that intersect People Excellence initiatives with Client Engagement initiatives. + Assist the People Program team any other requested projects or initiatives. **Customers / Stakeholders** + Liaise with event stakeholders, internal partners and support teams, directing process, building relationships, and ensuring timely execution of all components of events. + Ensures close and effective working relationships with key stakeholders: US CMB (senior management teams, business lines/segments, and product areas); US Functions (Marketing, HR, etc.), and any other key stakeholders **Leadership & Teamwork** + Co-ordinate implementation of agreed events and communications within US CMB and identify key steps for achievement + Act as a role model to less experienced team members + Assist, guide and support team members and stakeholders as required + Leads and/or works with cross functional teams to deliver diverse events + Live the Group Values. + Visible CMB champion to ensure that key objectives and regional activities/ initiatives are prioritized appropriately within CMB , the region and respective countries **Operational Effectiveness & Control** + Improve operational effectiveness through consideration of current cost base, benchmarking etc. + Reviews impacts of projects on the business and ensures compliance across all functions and processes. + Act in accordance with Group and local compliance + Complete other responsibilities, as assigned. **Major Challenges** + Implementing robust strategic and events in a timely manner through effective interaction with multiple, diverse and senior stakeholders against a backdrop of diverse businesses. + The role holder must be flexible and possess strong prioritization capabilities. To achieve this, US CMB team has developed a structured People Program which underpins all areas of our growth - driving employee development, recognition, and engagement initiatives. + The Business Management Team reports to the US CMB Head of Business Management and acts as a governance and analytical support interface with the U.S. CMB Executive Team, the U.S. Strategy and engages with a number of senior stakeholders in US CMB. **Management of Risk** + Ensure compliance, operational risk controls in accordance with HSBC or regulatory standards and policies. + They will also continually reassess the operational risks associated with the role and inherent in the business, taking account of changing economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures and practices, management restructurings, and the impact of new technology. + This will be achieved by ensuring all actions take account of the likelihood of operational risk occurring; additionally by addressing any areas of concern in conjunction with line management and/or the appropriate department. **Observation of Internal Controls** + The jobholder will adhere to and be able to demonstrate adherence to internal controls. This will be achieved by following relevant procedures, keeping appropriate records and, where appropriate, by the timely implementation of internal and external audit points, including issues raised by external regulators. **Qualifications** + Bachelor's degree level qualification in marketing and/or business studies preferred. + Minimum 5 years of marketing experience within a highly-regulated institution. + A range of marketing campaigns experience, including demonstrable success in measuring the impact of digital marketing tactics and event marketing. + Experience in developing surveys and sentiment analytics. + Able to work collaboratively across multiple stakeholders and teams in remote locations. + Commitment to putting the customer at the heart of all development activities. + Proven ability to influence within teams. + Proven ability to work on multi-function projects demonstrating excellent relationship building skills. + Proven ability to be a self-starter with energy and drive in a challenging and dynamic environment. + Strategic awareness and commercial acumen. + Highly developed communication, presentation and influencing skills set. + Proven problem solving skills with ability to consider alternative and innovative solutions. + Ability to prioritize and work independently under pressure within a team environment. + Ability to use strong judgmental skills to identify and resolve complex problems whilst managing ambiguity, adhering to timelines and ensuring high quality of output. + Keen attention to detail. + Ability to multi-task and maintain business and project deadlines while working in **Desired/NotRequired:** + Goodunderstanding of the Group and the CMB business, including products, services, systems & processes preferably gained through experience in front line roles + Business experience in a variety of roles (Corporate / Commercial Banking) centered on delivery of high quality customer service. + Experience of managing and delivering cross-functional programs + Leadership, management and coaching skills EEO/AA/Minorities/Women/Disability/Veterans **Job Field:** Commercial Banking **Primary Location:** North America-United States-New York-New York **Schedule** Full-time **Shift** Day Job **Type of Vacancy** Country vacancy**Req ID:** 0000DK70
