Skills / Experience: The Asset Management Specialist is responsible for the daily and long-term strategic management of software and technology-related hardware within the IT organization. This includes planning, monitoring, and recording software license and/or hardware assets to ensure compliance with vendor contracts and to mitigate risk to the technology environment. It also includes monitoring deployed assets to ensure that only authorized assets are deployed. The individual will assist in forming procurement strategies to optimize technology spend across the organization. The IT Asset Management Specialist will also develop and implement procedures for tracking company assets to oversee quality control throughout their lifecycles. Primary Responsibilities Manage IT asset inventory utilizing best practice software asset management (SAM), Hardware asset management (HAM) and IT asset disposition (ITAD) processes and tools across the full range of digital technology assets.?? Maintains automated IT asset inventory capability. ???Gather data on and provide analysis of all activities that have an impact on the value, cost and risk of digital technology asset life cycles. ???Maintains the CMDB ???Gather and analyze data to track lifecycle, maintenance and decommissioning of IT assets ???Tracks license utilization; performs license audits; respond to license validation requests; track remedial actions ???Coordinate the procurement function of IT assets ???Coordinating communications to end users Physical presence in the office/on-site to engage in face-to-face interaction and coordination of work among direct reports and co-workers. This role may necessitate the need to work after-hours, outside of your normal schedule. Candidate Qualifications Candidates must meet the basic qualifications and pass all required tests or assessments to receive consideration. In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility form upon hire. Basic Qualifications 1. Bachelor's degree and 5 years of related work experience OR 8 years of related work experience 2. Understanding of Vendor Management, Procurement, Asset Lifecycles, and License Management. 3. Experience in tracking Asset and License information via an Asset Management tool / CMDB 4.
