Job Descriptions: At Intercept, our mission is to build a healthier tomorrow for patients with progressive non-viral liver diseases. Intercept's lead product, Obeticholic Acid (OCA), is a potent first-in-class farnesoid X receptor (FXR) agonist. OCA, marketed under the brand name "Ocaliva," is approved in the U.S., EU and Canada for use in primary biliary cholangitis (PBC), a rare autoimmune liver disease. OCA is also being investigated as a treatment for nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) and primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC). In February 2019, Intercept reported positive topline results from the Phase 3 REGENERATE study of OCA in patients with liver fibrosis due to NASH. REGENERATE is the first and largest Phase 3 study in NASH - a chronic disease that threatens the lives of millions of people in the U.S. alone. By 2020, NASH is expected to overtake hepatitis C as the leading cause of liver transplants in the U.S. Currently, there are no available treatments for NASH, and Intercept is among the leading companies focused on the disease. Based on the positive results from REGENERATE, Intercept intends to file for regulatory approval in the U.S. and EU in the second half of this year. This is an exciting time for Intercept, as the organization prepares for a potential approval and launch in NASH. As part of this effort, Intercept is beginning to build a new commercial organization, and this opportunity in Marketing will play a pivotal role in preparing the company for the successful launch of OCA's second indication. POSITION SUMMARY: As the Product Manager, HCP Marketing this individual will be tasked primarily with: + Assisting in the development of all field-force materials to drive a successful launch + Collaborating with sales training to ensure optimal rollout and execution of new materials/initiatives + Leading Congress Planning and Execution CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES: The successful candidate must be able to perform each of the following satisfactorily: + Personal Promotion - Assist with the development of the personal promotional programs and initiatives including sales aids, leave behinds, sample kits, and Congress materials. + Non-Personal Promotion - Assist with the implementation of non-personal strategies to reach HCPs to maximize marketing impact including digital channels and campaigns such as websites, SEO/SEM, and CRM programs. + Assist in collecting and analyzing inputs from field intel to develop and refine product promotional plans via the Sales/Marketing Council + Act as Field Communications point drafting and deploying messages as needed + Participate in and assist when needed in market research initiatives + Partner with LMRC Teams to facilitate the review and approval of marketing assets. + Manage brand (HCP) budget + Assist in the development of the annual brand plan (strategic planning/tactical planning) + Perform other duties as assigned. + Drive the spirit of "ONE Team" across all functions by supporting a team approach to focus on our patients and customers as our top priorities + Make Intercept a truly desired place to work + Perform responsibilities with a commitment to Compliance and a high ethical standard QUALIFICATIONS: * BA/BS required, MBA or advanced degree preferred * Minimum 4 years biopharmaceutical experience * Minimum 2 years of experience with marketing drugs in U.S. is required * Customer experience working closely with Sales Leadership * Prior product/indication launch experience preferred * Prior experience with pre-approval planning, and product launch preferred * Prior experience in liver, metabolic, and/or related disease states preferred Required Experience: + Experience in liver, metabolic, and/or related disease states preferred + Strong Organizational Skills + Must demonstrate ability to work cross-functionally, build alignment, inform, negotiate, and collaborate. + Ability to understand, work with, and provide commercial input to all functions within the project team. + Demonstrated initiative, creativity, strategic capabilities, and ability to work effectively in complex, rapidly changing environments. + Proven team player with ability to navigate cross functionally + BA/BS required, MBA or advanced degree preferred + Strong verbal and written communications skills + Learning agility and 'scalability' to take on increasing responsibility as Intercept grows + Consistent demonstration and embodiment of company core values: Collaboration, Excellence, Innovation, Integrity, Passion, Patient/Stakeholder Centricity + Ability to have fun! #LI-JN1 Keyword: Product Manager, HCP US Marketing, NASH From: Intercept Pharmaceuticals * The salary listed in the header is an estimate based on salary data for similar jobs in the same area.
