US Education Classroom Experience Team is looking for an elite and experienced Education Solution Sales Solutions Professional to join our East Region team. In this role you will be responsible for uncovering and identifying, qualifying, closing and deploying strategic Classroom solutions within our largest accounts with the backdrop of the One Microsoft story. This role will focus on both K-12 and Higher Education customers in the territory. You will collaborate with the ATU, STU, and various key US and WW EDU stakeholders to accelerate the building of our device and productivity selling capabilities with customers in both K-12 and Higher Education. You will partner with field and partner resources to increase Windows and O365 usage in the classroom, grow the adoption and usage of O365 (through applications like OneNote, OneDrive, and Office Web Apps) with emphasis on TEAMs usage while growing share against fierce competition. You will work directly with both business and technical decision makers, partners and local ATUs to sell and achieve quarterly Windows Device Activations and O365 Monthly Active Usage, revenue and metric accountabilities.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience in customer facing sales roles, be an industry subject matter, and have experience in hardware and operating systems and will have had success in delivering complex mobile solutions to customers. As a Classroom SSP, you will be responsible for leading the end to end sales strategy, development and execution for select states within the West & Central Region. This includes direct accountabilities for all selling motions, achieving sales metrics and business scale to grow Windows unit shipment, activation, and share.


Specific responsibilities include:

  • Lead Education Classroom Technology sales and usage business in the MidAtlantic territory
  • Drive share of Windows 10 deployment through the metrics of Windows Device Activations
  • Identify and manage O365 usage opportunities and drive adoption in the classroom
  • Identify and pursue competitive opportunities within the territory with a One Microsoft approach engaging with Educators, Administrators, and IT Decision makers
  • Contribute to the engagement and readiness of reseller partners and OEMs to scale the Mobility sales motion
  • Own, deliver and presentation of Microsofts Education Classroom story to customers and partners at the highest levels
  • Qualifications

    The successful candidate will be an experienced sales professional with a strong track record of results, experience working with the education customers and partners. The successful candidate will have at least3 years of successful accomplishments in Sales related roles within the high tech software or services space or the edcutation space.

    The position requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong selling skills, strong execution skills, creativity and the ability to work effectively under deadlines. Exceptional cross-team collaboration, impact and influence, and business, success in navigating a matrixed organization, and strategy leadership competencies are needed for success. The position also requires the candidate to have excellence customer focus, presence and strong drive for Sales results.

    Key Responsibilities for this role:

  • Single point of accountability for the Microsoft Classroom Experience business including driving growth, share and Windows Device Activations and O365 usage
  • Accountable for device and product attach (Windows 10, O365/OneNote, Azure, BI) business with customers: revenue, units, share, and scorecard targets
  • Determine the correct Customer Selection and prioritization in territory, build and maintain CXO account relationship for key managed customers
  • Drive penetration and adoption of Windows 10 and devices, with O365, with appropriate product attach
  • Drive market share and revenue growth for Microsoft and OEM Reseller Channel with the best collaboration, communications, solutions and offers
  • Own the all operational aspects of the role including, pipeline maintenance and management of US/WW offers and programs
  • The role requires the ability to travel 50% of the time.
