The Systems Administrator assists in all phases of infrastructure administration and support. This includes building and supporting Microsoft servers and applications, deploying and supporting MRO s production web sites, managing MRO s corporate and production Active Directory and Group Policy infrastructure. Provide localand remote support of custom applications and hardware. The Systems Administrator will respond to system and user alerts, triage the incident, and resolve the issue or escalate appropriately.

Duties and Responsibilities:

System Administration

  1. Assist with administering corporate and production infrastructure including Microsoft Active Directory, Windows servers, IIS, Exchange, Hyper-V, and Azure; Nutanix Acropolis virtualization, SAN technologies, networking, internet access, and PC configuration, etc .
  2. Perform system administration tasks including system monitoring, building and deploying servers, system and application deployment and configuration, system backups, and system updates.
  3. Work closely with internal and external resources on large and small-scale infrastructure projects.
  4. Assist with creation of new hire AD accounts, e-mail and application accounts, and telephone extensions.

Operational Support

  1. Provide support of HQ and Production equipment including Servers, switches, printers, etc.
  2. Troubleshoot complex issues to determine root cause and identify resolutions.
  3. Perform basic reporting through a variety of tools and SQL queries.
  4. Provide 2nd level support for corporate and production (client facing) applications including custom MRO applications, MS Office suite, Infor CRM, and a variety of other third party productivity utilities

Asset Management

  1. Assists with the inventory management of software licenses, software, hardware, and other IT supplies.
  2. Assists with the purchase of software, hardware, and other IT supplies.
  3. Promotes responsible usage and care of corporate equipment.
  4. Weekend, off-hour, and rotating on-call shifts will be required.
  5. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. 5 years in a system administrator role.
  2. Strong knowledge of Active Directory and server administration
  3. Firm understanding of networking and network devices
  4. Ability to learn and support custom web applications.
  5. Ability to perform simple MS SQL queries.
  6. Knowledge of scanning hardware and software preferred.
  7. Knowledge of health industry and/or hospital systems preferred.
  8. Ability to thrive on a small team in a fast paced environment
  9. Detail oriented with excellent verbal, written, interpersonal and presentation skills.
  10. Associates degree and/or equivalent work experience along with a high school diploma (or equivalent) is required.
  11. Microsoft certifications a plus (MCSE, MCSA, MCP)
  12. Ability to travel 5%
