We are currently engaged with a client who is seeking an Associate Director of IT Infrastructure on a full time direct employee basis. In this role, the Associate Director will:
Support the corporate infrastructure, security and IT strategy for new growing biotech start-up manufacturing and lab facility.
Understand and make decisions on implementation of IT infrastructure design from outside senior architects
Provide direct leadership for infrastructure and desktop support organizations.
Setup, manage, and maintain the IT infrastructure that includes:
Server room(s) and IDF's.
Manufacturing and Business networks.
Physical and logical security systems.
Managed desktop support for all business areas.
Support GxP validation efforts for computer system validation.
Support infrastructure qualification with the quality organization.
Design IT infrastructure strategies for security and access.
Work closely with and support the process automation organization.
Work collaboratively with business partners related to IT controls and security policies.
Drive short, intermediate, and long-term needs for data management and process efficiencies.
Liaise with vendors and business partners to drive and deliver IT Infrastructure projects.
The appropriate individual will have demonstrated experience in the following:
Significant hands-on leadership in supporting GxP operations in pharma/biotech environments.
Multi-tasking IT and Infrastructure responsibilities in start-up / high growth pharma/biotech environments.
Deep understanding of emerging trends and technologies related to IT Infrastructure, Cloud-First Strategies and Cyber-security.
Hands-on experience in a brownfield/greenfield startup pharma/biotech.
IT infrastructure management and tools that might include a combination of: Microsoft Active Directory (AD), VM provisioning, VLAN setup, etc.)
Supporting process automation, building management, and manufacturing execution systems in the pharma/biotech industry. Working knowledge of clean rooms and Environmental Monitoring (EM) requirements.
Supporting GxP qualification and validation efforts. GxP application experience for labs and manufacturing.
Supporting IT infrastructure and desktop support.
