**Job Description** The Strategic Sourcing Project Manager is responsible for all project management and process improvement aspects of the Strategic Sourcing Department. The role encompasses the coordination of projects, oversight of key deadlines and meeting schedules, establishment and maintenance of records, overview of spend and savings analytics, to name a few. The role will be highly visible and will report directly into the Director for P2P, Procurement Systems and Spend Data Analytics. **What You Will Do:** + Coordinate the management of RFP processes across various spend categories + Establish and maintain online document repository of all documentation relevant to Strategic Sourcing such as RFP responses, vendor presentations, minutes of meetings, financial analyses, etc. + Coordinate key milestone events such as site visits, stakeholder meeting pre-bid conference calls or quarterly business review meetings + Review scopes of work, plans, savings overview and specifications for accuracy, and suggest cost reduction opportunities for approval by the business unit stakeholders + Assess and summarize potential and achieved savings and present to the leadership team + Provide procurement support for various business units and assist with special projects and other duties assigned by the Director of Procurement + Improve vendor onboarding and other related processes tied to a new Procurement system + Support overall strategic vendor management by data mining in the spend analytics tool + Analyze, develop comprehensive presentations, summaries, project plans, and identify key action items and present to Client stakeholders in a clear and concise manner + Manage and prioritize a complex calendar of meetings, conferences, and projects covering ten individuals and multiple categories **Who You Are:** + Self-motivated and high-energy individual who is able to thrive in a fast-paced and changing environment + Team player with strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask + Exceptional time management, analytical thinking, process improvement and organizational skills **Qualifications:** + At least five years' experience in Procurement Project Management or project management in general + Proven success in office administration + Interest and affinity for the New York Times **Preferred Qualifications:** + BS in Business, Finance, Systems or Accounting; + Professional experience in a media or entertainment company a plus but not a requirement + Power user in Excel, Power Point, Google Docs + New York, NY + Apply **Job Description** The New York Times is seeking a curious and driven product manager to contribute to our storytelling technologies, including both publishing tools and reader-facing story platforms. The role will work closely with Oak, the innovative story-editing tool used by the newsroom to compose, edit and produce the majority of our journalism, from eye-catching features to fast-breaking news. Oak is one of several tools that constitute Scoop, our in-house suite of publishing technologies. Scoop is the backbone of the New York Times, supporting our journalism and powering our digital and print platforms. The role will also work closely with the Story Foundations team, which is responsible for making it easier for designers and developers to innovate on our core storytelling experiences (on the web, in apps, and off-platform), to make these innovations readily adopted by the newsroom, and to contribute new storytelling capabilities to our cross-platform storytelling system. Oak and Story Foundations span the tools and platforms that power the creation, editing, publication, and presentation of our journalism. Working with both teams presents an opportunity to shape, from end to end, how that journalism is made, as well as how it appears to readers in the form of our digital products.
