Sr. Production Manager **New York, New York, United States** at **New** Product Development 6 hours agoPost Date B2400160Requisition # THE OPPORTUNITY / RESPONSIBILITIES The Senior Production Manager will coordinate all aspects of assigned projects from product concept through file delivery. The Production manager will ensure team adherence to process, schedule and budget working in concert with all department stakeholders. Assigned projects could include mixture of both print products and digitally delivered content. Job requirements include: Thorough understanding and experience with content development, print production principles, and content reuse across print and digital channels. 8+ years relevant work experience Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, balancing the needs of multiple concurrent projects under tight deadlines Excellent communication skills and attention to detail Proficiency with Mac OS, Adobe In Design CC, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and the Microsoft Office suite of apps. Proven ability to diplomatically implement workflow standards and achieve buy-in from all stakeholders Familiarity with WoodWing Enterprise or K4 publishing systems a plus Knowledge of AppleScript or JavaScript a plus HOW YOU CAN FIT Production and Project Management of assigned projects, including: Coordinate all aspects of production from manuscript to press-ready files, as assigned by the Director of Production, in concert with all stakeholders, ensuring adherence to schedule and budget Schedule and manage processes for content delivery into both print and digital products Manage the reuse of content across products and delivery channels (ie: print to digital, print to print) Resolve or escalate queries throughout the production process, in consultation with the Director of Production, Art Directors, and Editorial staff Create, revise, and maintain production schedules, as assigned, for weekly production status meeting Manage the QC and preflighting of files to ensure compliance with file naming protocols, folder structures, printer specs, font standards, and stylesheets Traffic files and deliverables between departments and outside vendors using WoodWing's Enterprise database publishing system Mentor and manage Production staff, assisting with the onboarding of new staff as needed Maintain good relationships and clear communication with co-workers and vendors Assist with the processing of production-related invoices and vendor contracts Maintain digital archives of completed products, as assigned WHO WE ARE Scholastic Corporation (NASDAQ: SCHL) is the world's largest publisher and distributor of children's books, a leading provider of core literacy curriculum and professional services, and a producer of educational and entertaining children's media.
