Job SummaryLeads cross-functional teams from design to delivery of fully developed products that are ready for customer use. Develops strategy and roadmap for future products. Designs, develops and manages activities from product definition and planning through production, release, and end of life. Evaluates technical options and represents business requirements to the technology organization through requirement documents and detailed specifications. Provides timely and accurate information and status updates to functional leaders. Acts as primary point of contact to lead development and quality assurance resources to successfully release new products on time and within budget.We are looking for a rockstar who is versatile, highly ambitious, and has exceptional creative problem-solving and communication skills to join our growing IoT team! This role will be instrumental in working closely with the Curiosity IoT Products & Solutions team as well as our end users to provide them with high quality support documentation.
The IoT Solutions Technical Writer must be a high-energy individual with a great understanding of the IoT space. The right candidate must be a highly motivated, self-starter who is equally as passionate about creating and supporting excellent products as they are about caring for our users and their overall experience.
Responsible for strategic product charters, customer facing roles & interaction, the ability to create and drive strategic concepts from ideation to implementation for products by working with various organizational leaders. Requires a keen understanding of Product Strategy, Customer Experience, Marketing, and Product Development.
Must be able to clearly write technical documentation and will be required to test and develop with APIs
This role will also be required to coach sales team and other organizations due to being a central point of knowledge across multiple products and platforms.
Responsibilities
+ Provide strategy, concepts and execution on IoT product creation, deployment, lifecycle and manage the experience with product owners and customers.
+ Understand customer needs and successfully create strategies and concepts to develop and implement across all channels.
+ Coordinate updates with IoT product team (launch, external communications and marketing materials).
+ Manage and delegate support content, design, and information architecture to development teams
The ideal candidate will have:
+ Ability to test and troubleshoot APIs.
+ Knowledge of design, development and prototyping tools (InVision, Adobe AEM, XML, Markdown, JSON, etc.), JIRA and Clarity.
+ Knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, software development and product marketing methodologies
+ Strong technical experience and ability to understand and communicate technical documentation knowledge, tools and skills.
+ In order to support our products, this position must understand all aspects of them, as well as our users, so we can properly support user needs.
+ They will need to understand the user, and how they will use our products to support their business needs.
+ Ability to be professional and interact/communicate with working level teams independently in a matrix organizational environment.
+ Ability to work with a variety team disciplines in development, marketing, product and IT along with consultants and customers.
+ Interact with senior leadership while working to influence strategy, budget and priorities.
Basic Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree and four years related work experience or eight years related work experience post high school
+ Three years project management and implementation experience
Preferred Qualifications
+ Three years product management experience
+ Three years with telecom products and services
+ Three to five years working with IoT products, solutions, platforms, or services
+ Three to five years working with software products and documentation
