We support individuals who are developmentally disabled, mentally ill, blind, deaf or hard of hearing. _About the Role:_ As a member of the Executive Office of Health and Human Services, (EHS), data warehouse, (DW), team, The SQL Developer, (Federal Reporting Programmer - FRP), will be responsible for programming and developing Federal reports in the DW. The FRP will ensure that the scope and requirements of projects and requests are met by developing and implementing programmatic solutions in Toad, (SQL). The FRP must have the ability to adapt to different environments and work with various levels of staff including analysts, developers, managers and business sponsors where knowledge of Federal Reporting for Medicaid would be a plus. _Responsibilities:_ Manage individual assigned requests from a variety of diverse business users Understand business requirements, and regulatory needs and their impact on business and DW Maintain comprehensive code and documentation consistent with DW practice and policy Develop and document technical standards, practices & policies to meet the organization needs Generate accurate queries and outputs consistently and under pressure Evaluate requests, gather business requirements and creatively develop solutions, generating accurate queries and outputs consistently and under pressure Improve and innovate processes and programs that meet user needs Become a subject matter expert in the Federal Reporting domain Produce standard and ADHOC reports using various tools and data sources Conduct advanced data mining in a timely and accurate manner as required Produce business and system documentation based on EOHHS standards _Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:_ Extensive SQL experience within a data warehouse environment 3 year experience working as a programmer/developer, preferably in healthcare 3 years of experience working within Toad (SQL); with proven experience querying and developing Strong understanding of SDLC process & agile methodology Proven experience creating reports and the ability to create ad-hoc reports Experience working within in a regulatory environment or created regulated reports _Additional Qualifications which will distinguish candidates:_ Demonstrated competency in proposing, justifying alternative approaches for a project Strong oral/ written communication skills, understood by technical and non-technical sources Ability to build trusted relationships with stakeholders, managers, and employees at all levels Ability to quickly assess/summarize information and effectively identify issues, risks, solutions Demonstrated strength in multi-tasking and application of strong logical reasoning skills Familiarity with eligibility and claim based system and Medicaid Federal Reporting processes Experience with Federal Reporting for Medicaid is a plus _Total Compensation:_ As an employee of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts you are offered a great career opportunity influencing a wide-spectrum of services to the diverse populations we serve - but it's more than a paycheck.
